Eileen and Jan came second to qualify for the final of the County Foursomes held at Knaresborough Golf Club last week.
The Lady Captain had her Dinner and presentation night yesterday, Tuesday 19th July following her weekend competitions.
The six clubs founded in 1891 from around this area were invited to participate in a challenge match to celebrate the occasion.
This was our celebratory Dinner to mark our 125th anniversary year. We dined in the Pinnacle suite and Dawn and Andrew along with their staff produced a wonderful meal for everyone.
The 36th Pro Am here at Dewsbury was held yesterday the 13th July in lovely sunshine but with a testing blustery wind. The scoring was still very good and the results for both the team and Professionals are below.
On Friday 4th December at the Captains Dinner, Nigel was presented with a caricature and some engraved cut glass to commemorate his 40 years here at Dewsbury District.
The Mirfield Open was held on Thursday 24th September and a field of over 80 players enjoyed testing golfing conditions followed by a meal in the clubhouse afterwards.
Danny Hartley takes the inaugural George Sargent Club Championship, by one shot from Chris Gaunt and Fergus Barron.
George Sargent was the Professional at our club from 1902 to 1906. In 1909 he won the US Open, and in 1912 the Canadian Open, as well as gaining other great golfing achievements.
The inaugural Home International took place on Sunday the 30th of August,in perfect weather conditions for golf.
